Baptism

Baptism is so powerful, Father, but I know I don't have to tell you that :-) But it's still hard for me to even process how Jesus totally changed me when I surrendered my life to him and was baptized. I think baptism (when it is the real thing) is something You give us to assure us that we are forgiven and brand new, and that we belong to You. It is a gift you give to us so we can understand. Maybe that's why Jesus commanded it...he knew it would be something life changing for us, not only spiritually but emotionally and also mentally. You have healed my traumatic memories, God, and I have not had a problem in that area since my baptism on Sept, 7. I praise you for healing me. By dying to my old life of sin and being immersed into the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, something incredibly wonderful happened. You made me a new creation. Thank you for dying for me, Jesus. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for healing my painful memories. I love and honor y ou, God, for you are good, and you are Holy and great in mercy and love. There is none like you, God, and I want to bow at your feet and worship you forever.
