I'm looking out on the ocean today feeling a little like I am on a boat stuck in that zigzag current on the horizon. It keeps me in view of the shore but I'm unable to get there.
I'm not floating out to sea but feeling shipwrecked and wondering how it all happened.
Strangely there is a calm, even with all the perils surrounding me.
That calm is you, Father. Somehow you are keeping this boat from going under. You are my hope of rescue and salvation. You are making the needed repairs even as my boat is splashing about in the waves.
I don't understand. I would let me sink if I were you. I would say after so many failed attempts at sailing, "That's it! You're on your own; good luck with that!"
But you keep me holding on to hope. You are my good Father and you will never leave me floundering in the ocean of confusion and despair. You send rescue. You send help. You repair my boat.
I am so thankful for your love, your providence in my life, and your salvation.
I love you, God. ❤️
